Jared Doxtator Memorial Set for Cobra Tire Cup Round 3 on Sunday!
Racing on Sunday at Grand Bend Speedway gets underway at the special at 1:00 pm start time for the Jared Doxtator Memorial event presented by Doxtator Property Maintenance. The afternoon features a full slate of NASCAR Advance Auto Parts racing racing including Huron Taxi Service Late Models, Hot Rods, and Super Stocks. Invitational Bone Stocks hit the track as well as the Grand Bend Home Hardware 9HP Sprints, and Robson Scrap Metal Mini Trucks. The afternoon also includes development competition from the Pine Dale Motor Inn Junior Sprints.
Racing on Sunday is held in honour of long-time Grand Bend Speedway announcer, Jared Doxtator, who passed away in September, 2019. Jared was always a friendly face and recognizable voice at the track announcing also at Delaware Speedway.
The Outside Groove Diner is open with a great view of the pits all night serving up pizza, subs, and ice cream.
Kids and youth age 15 and under enter FREE as spectators. General admission seating includes access to the lawn chair area as well as the grandstand. Pits are open free of charge after the event to get an up close look at the racing vehicles.
Touring series action takes centre stage this Saturday at 6:30 PM at Grand Bend Speedway with the Great Lakes Legends series along with the highly anticipated debut of the Ontario Pro Sprints. The lineup also features racing from the Grand Bend Home Hardware 9HP Sprints, Doxtator Property Maintenance Bone Stocks, Pine Dale Inn Junior Sprints, and also the first competition of the season from the Pro Kart series. Spectator admission is $20, kids age 15 and under get in FREE for spectator admission.
The Ontario Pro Sprints are scaled winged sprint cars that trace their lineage back to the famous 440 sprints that used to run at GBS years ago. The return of this style of car adds even more variety to the racing lineup. The Ontario Pro Sprints compete as part of the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series at the track.
