Grand Bend Speedway Updates

Saturday Aug 23 – Rained out

Saturday’s racing event featuring the Tri State Sprint Cars is cancelled due to poor weather coming in at race time.
“There was a lot of effort to make this inaugural race a success and showcase our facility along with our local and upcoming GBS talents to a new audience plus bring Asphalt Sprint Car racing back to Canada and give it a home for the future.  That being said, we will continue to do just that but when the weather cooperates,” said Gord Bennett of GBS.  “We appreciate all the effort from so many people.”

It is not clear at this time if a rescheduled date will be possible for this year: the track is working through options with the Tri-State Sprints.

Public Go Karts, which were set to open earlier in the day, are not currently impacted by the weather and are still on their normal hours for a Saturday: 11:45 pm – 2:30 pm.

Following a week off from racing on Labour Day Weekend during which the Go-Karts will be open, the next race event at GBS is Sunday, September 7th for the Brad Clarke Memorial Event: part of the Cobra Tire Cup Series.
