SEASON OPENER SATURDAY

The 2026 Grand Bend Speedway racing season kicks off Saturday evening with a full lineup of competition and the introduction of an innovative new all-access-for-all admission program for fans and drivers.  Qualifying races start at 4:30 pm, main events begin at 8:00 pm.  The Go Kart Centre is open from 10 am to 1:00 pm on race day.

Racing on Saturday show cases the new full-size V8 Sprint class that has been spotted practicing at the track.  Four Cylinder Compacts are in competition along with Pro Sprints and Outlaw Micro Sprints.  Pro Four Modifieds were a last-minute but welcome addition to the summer schedule making their return to GBS for the first time since 2024.  Competition for developing drivers is also on the card with the Kid Stocks and Youth Micro Sprints.  Selected divisions, such as the V8 Sprints, are new to the track and in development and are expected to start with a smaller number of competitors.

The track has introduced a new “All-Access for Everyone” entry program aimed at keeping admission to the races affordable and giving better access to the facility to fans, friends, and racing families.  The new pricing structure includes full facility access for everyone: racers, crew, and spectators.  As a result, the facility has a fresh layout in the pits that is expected to allow for more efficient lineups for race divisions and also sees much of the fencing around the facility removed to allow the free-flow of guests throughout the venue.

The racing program is divided up into shorter qualifying races that start at 4:30 pm to set the lineup for the full-length main-event races that begin at 8:00 pm.  Casual fans and beachgoers often enjoy the condensed action of the 8:00 main events while motorsports enthusiasts often arrive earlier to take in the whole program.  A selection of drivers will be on the front stretch of the trace track meetings with fans between these two parts of the program.

On display: Camp Canada RV & Corporate Motorsports will be debuting their new summer pop up location.  Whether you’re looking for a new golf cart, camper trailer, ATV, side-by-side, or simply want to check out what’s new: they’ve got a great lineup on display all summer long.

The Outside Grove diner will be open throughout the event serving up pizza, nachos, ice cream and more throughout the races.

For fans who want to make some laps before the races, the Go Kart Centre will be open from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on race day.

About the Track: Grand Bend Speedway is a 1/4 mile paved Tri-Oval race track. Originally built in 1996 for small-scale vehicles it was later expanded into the track of today which can accommodate both half-size development series as well as full-size race cars. The track is located just outside the town of Grand Bend beside the Grand Bend Motorplex facility.

GBS Introduces All-Access for Everyone Entry

Grand Bend Speedway is implementing a new pricing and admission system aimed at keeping admission to the races affordable and giving better access to the facility to fans, friends, and racing families.

The new pricing structure includes full facility access for everyone: racers, crew, and spectators.  The track will no longer have a separate pit entry fee.  Instead, admission and waivers will be completed at the track entrance before entering the Grand Bend Speedway property.  Competitors and fans can stay in their vehicles and track staff will come to them.

Once implemented, the new process allows for the free-flow of fans, drivers, and crew throughout the facility with no need for wrist band checkpoints.  For example, friends and family of drivers will now be able to freely visit the pits before, during, and after the races.  Regular fans will have the opportunity to freely walk the facility to behind the scenes and build further interest in Grand Bend Speedway and its racing program.

ALL ACCESS FOR EVERYONE PRICING:
– up to 5 years: FREE
– 6-12 years: $10
– 13+: $20

The program will be in place starting at the first event: Saturday, June 6.  Preliminary events begin at 5:45 PM with main events getting underway at 8:00 PM.  The racing lineup features V8 Sprint Cars, Pro Sprints, Pro 4 Modifieds, Outlaw Micro Sprints, Four Cylinder Compacts, Youth Micro Sprints, Kid Stocks.
