First Champions of 2025 Crowned: Bone Stocks End in Tie, Curtis Wins in Late Model

The Doxtator Property Maintenance Bone Stock championship has ended in an unprecedented tie. The championship will be jointly shared between Lucas Chapman (#78) and Justin Collver (#50) based on an agreement between the two teams and approval from the speedway. At the conclusion of the feature race the two drivers were tied in points. While a tie-breaking mechanism exists within the Grand Bend Speedway rulebook, a spirit of sportsmanship prevailed leading the drivers to request the procedure not be invoked, which was approved by track management, which resulted in the final tie.

Jeramy Curtis (#77) of Grand Bend finished in top spot in the Huron Taxi Service Late Models. A win earlier in the season and consistent performance throughout the season put Curtis in the position to take the victory in the track championship for the Late Model division.

The next set of Champions will be crowned this coming Saturday, September 20 with the Mini Trucks, 9HP Sprints, and Junior Sprints, and Ontario Pro Sprints.  The Go Kart program will also be wrapping up its season of competition.  Main events begin at 7:00 pm, preliminaries start at 4:00 pm.
