Grand Bend Speedway 2025 Schedule Highlights
Grand Bend Speedway is set for a summer of action-packed fun with the release of its 2025 summer schedule (click to view). Along with the return of NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series racing, home track classes, and selected touring classes, the schedule also features a new series of events called the Cobra Tire Cup which will include four races on the 1/4-mile speedway fans know and love, but also a series finale on a one-mile hybrid oval super speedway next door to the track. The 30th season opener will take place on Sunday, May 25.
2025 marks the first time in the track’s history where there will be more full-size divisions of competition than smaller-scale vehicles as the track aims to position itself as a viable destination for drivers of a variety of types of race cars. The schedule now includes a Super Stock / Sportsman class as well as a Hot Rod divisions. Both will run as part of the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts weekly series program at the track along with the return of the Late Model division and 9HP Sprint class. The Invitational Bone Stocks and Mini Trucks will also be in competition as well as the return of the track’s signature driver development program for kids, the Junior Sprints. A rotating schedule that sees divisions swapped in and out for each other at each event allows fans to experience something different each week throughout the summer.
The Cobra Tire Cup Series is the highlight of the 2025 schedule with four races taking place on Sundays throughout the summer followed by a fifth season-finale event, the “Corn Cob Classic” on a one-mile hybrid oval track. That track is being configured out of the paved course that sits behind Grand Bend Speedway as part of the larger Grand Bend Motorplex. It is the first time Grand Bend Speedway has ever hosted a race for its drivers making use of those facilities.
For touring divisions, the Can Am Midgets (3/4-scale sprint cars) will make two appearances: July 12 and August 9. Fans will be also treated to three appearances of the Great Lakes Legends Series: twice on the 1/4-mile track and a final time using a road-course configuration adjacent to the Hybrid Oval being used for the Cobra Tires Cup Series.
For other special events, Sunday, June 22 will be the “GBS Since 1996 Alumni Reunion Day” featuring NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series competition as well as a special Alumni Kart Race. The Jared Doxtator Memorial event runs on Sunday, July 20 and the Brad Clarke Memorial race takes place on Sunday, September 7.
The track has also made investments in driver safety that will also help with the smooth flow of events. RaceMed Rescue, which has provided on-site response to Merrittville Speedway, Ohsweken Speedway, and Humberstone Speedway will be on site at all events in 2025.
While catching the action in-person is the best way to experience a race, the track will also be showcasing its competition with weekly live streaming to Facebook and YouTube as it aims to showcase the quality of competition at the track to a wide audience. CheckeredFlagMedia.com is once again returning to broadcast the events.
