Double-Header Labour Day Weekend!

Labour Day is almost here and with it comes the big Double Header Racing event at Grand Bend Speedway.  The weekend features two days of racing: Saturday starting at 6:30 pm and Sunday starting at 5:00 pm. Competition showcases the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series classes as well as development competition from the Junior Sprints. The weekend also plays host to the rescheduled Brad Clarke Memorial Event on Sunday which includes a special 33-lap Junior Late Model invitational event in his honour.

Camping is free with admission all weekend long. With Grand Bend Beach located so near the track, fans and drivers alike can camp at the track and enjoy the beach during the day and racing at night.

Food concessions are open on the spectator hill, as well as The Outside Groove Diner which has a great view of the pits all weekend long.

General admission seating includes access to the lawn chair area as well as the grandstand. Pits are open free of charge after the event to get an up close look at the racing vehicles.

Tickets available at the door:

  • Adult (Age 18 – 59): $20
    Senior/Student (Age 13-17 / 60 +): $15
    Youth (Age 4-12): $5
    Infant (Age 3 and under): FREE

About the Track: Grand Bend Speedway is a NASCAR-sanctioned 1/4 mile paved Tri-Oval race track. Originally built in 1996 for small-scale vehicles it was later expanded into the track of today which can accommodate both half-size development series as well as full-size race cars in addition to its daily Go Kart and racing experience attractions that run during the summer. The track is located just outside the town of Grand Bend next door to the Grand Bend Motorplex facility.

Rainout: Saturday, August 17

Due to the incoming rainy forecast we have decided to cancel the Race Event for this Saturday August 17th. The BRAD CLARKE MEMORIAL has been Rescheduled for Sunday September 1st, with a new start time of 5:00pm.

Brad Clarke Memorial Event Saturday

Saturday’s event is the Brad Clarke Memorial held in memory of the former track promoter of Grand Bend Speedway and builder of countless vehicles in the development series.  Clarke passed away in January 2022.  Since 1997 Clarke dedicated himself to the promotion of racing programs for young people in the region by designing, building, and repairing the 1/2-scale racing vehicles. He became promoter of the Junior Canadian Auto Racing (JCAR) series and later became track promoter at Grand Bend Speedway.

Special to the racing lineup is the SOMA (Southern Ontario Modified Association) drivers returning to the track.  The show-starter Junior Sprints will hit the track at 6:30 pm with NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series racing from the Huron Taxi Service Late Models, Mini Trucks, Doxtator Property Maintenance Bone Stocks, and 9HP Sprints set for their signature double features format starting at 7:00 pm.

Food concessions are open on the spectator hill, as well as The Outside Groove Diner which has a great view of the pits all night.

NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series Racing Resumes on Saturday

Beat Down at the Bend This Weekend!

The first-ever Grand Bend Wrestlefest featuring 365 Pro Wrestling is happing this summer right here at Grand Bend Speedway & Festival Centre on August 3 and 4 at 7:30 PM each night.

Advanced tickets range from just $10 for standing room to $35 for front row admission.

Can-Am Midgets & Legends Headline Saturday

The event on Saturday, July 27 at Grand Bend Speedway is the must-see event of the summer with a special appearance by both the Can Am Midgets & Great Lakes Legends in addition to competition from the tracks NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series classes and development racing from the Junior Sprints.  Racing gets started at a special start time of 5:30 pm.

The Can Am Midgets are and annual highlight at the track.  The 3/4-scale sprint cars are a thrill to watch when they make their only stop of the season.

The Great Lakes Legends are a fast-growing touring series in Ontario that makes use of the popular Legends cars seen at many tracks in the USA.  The cars themselves are 5/8-scale fiberglass full-fendered versions of the famed NASCAR modifieds from the 1930s and 1940s powered by 125 HP Yamaha engines weighing in at 1,250 lbs.

Food concessions are open on the spectator hill, as well as The Outside Groove Diner which has a great view of the pits all night.

General admission seating includes access to the lawn chair area as well as the grandstand.  Fan may find bringing a lawn chair provides the best variety of seating options at what is expected to be one of the busiest events of the summer at the track. Pits are open free of charge after the event to get an up close look at the racing vehicles.

Fan Appreciation This Saturday July 13!

Saturday night is Fan Appreciation night at Grand Bend Speedway.  Come on out early at 6:00 pm to meet the drivers and snap some photos with their fast cars before racing gets underway.  Show Starter Junior Sprints hit the track at 6:30 PM followed by NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series competition beginning at 7:00 pm.
