2024 Champions Celebrated

Grand Bend Speedway celebrated its division champions on Sunday afternoon at the track.

Consistent performance throughout the season saw Rylan Facchinato (#89) of Seaforth take home the track title in the Huron Taxi Service NASCAR Late Model division and the $3,500 USD (approximately $4,700 CAD) prize that comes along with it as part of the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series. Johnathan Schwemler of Listowel won the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series Provincial Championship with a solid seven feature race wins.  He receives a special championship fire suit and commemorative trophy.

Caleb Goertz (#19) of Ilderton took home the NASCAR Mini Truck Championship, Carter Nicol (#52) of Ailsa Craig claimed the Doxtator Property Maintenance Bone Stocks title, Mike Beneteau (#33) of Grand Bend received championship honours in the NASCAR 9HP Sprints, while Edwin Hyde (#18H) of Petrolia found himself atop the Junior Sprint points standings.

Following the awards ceremony, the champions from each division competed in a “Race of Champions” using the track’s Pro Karts which was won by Mike Beneteau. The Pro Karts will be a regular staple of Saturday competition next season offering an entry-level opportunity to try out racing at Grand Bend Speedway.
